A sheet will come home explaining the homework. DUE Thursday. **Why study Geography and how it relates to history. **Begin map unit. Parts of a map and types of maps.
August 19-23, 2019 **Students will locate on a map where they were born. **We will learn how to read a map using map features and identify different types of maps. **We will also discuss why it's important to study history. No Social Studies homework this week.
August 13-16, 2019 Welcome to Social Studies! This week we will be organizing our journals and folders. We will also be decorating our journals. We will also learn about the importance of knowing history. HW: "Where Were You born?" slip coming home and is due Thursday. Bring old magazines, pictures, stickers, etc. to decorate your journal.
