Sept. 30 - Oct. 4, 2019 We are truly finishing up our Unit on Matter. With me being out Tuesday for training and early dismissal on Friday for Homecoming, the test will be on Monday, October 7. **Look for a study guide on Wednesday.
September 23-27, 2019 We will be finishing up our Unit on Matter this week. Look for a test the first week of October. Vocabulary sheets will be completed and placed in Science journals for test review. **Students will be bringing their notebooks home nightly to begin studying. PLEASE return each day! Two graded assignments will be returned on Wednesday to use for studying for the test. A study guide will come home on Friday. August 26-30, 2019 **Analyze task cards to see if an Engineer or Non-engineer would complete the task. Ask your child for examples of each. Students used the Engineering Design Process to make their decisions. **Create a model using the Engineering Design Process. (Build a tower that will stand using only three supplies.) Complete evaluation of the EDP process sheet for a grade. **Log into Discovery Ed and take a tour of the online Science book. Students can access using their school google account. **Complete interactive sheet for a grade. **Read lesson 1.1 on Matter August 19-23, 2019 **Learning the ten Lab Safety rules for labs this year. Students must turn in a copy of Lab Safety Rules with student/parent signature before participating in labs. Lab sheet went home Aug. 16.
**We will be learning the Engineering Design Process at the end of the week. We hope to use the process to complete a tower in class on Friday. No Science homework this week.
